A Rehabilitation Engineering Technologist is an ATP who applies engineering principles to the design, modification, customization, and/or fabrication of assistive technology for persons with disabilities.
NOTE: The RET certification is active for current certificants but is under review and is not currently available to new applicants. Current practice, exam outline, and eligibility requirements are being researched in order to explore the needs and applications in this specialty field as well as the knowledge tested.
