Session Information
Session ID:
Date & Time:
Friday, June 30, 2017 - 8:00am to 9:00am
Session Description
Session Type:

Ebooks are a preferred medium for many people, but for those who experience barriers to printed text, such as dyslexia, visual impairments, and physical disabilities, even e-reading can be problematic. Many technologies allow this audience to read in ways that work for them: in audio, large type, audio and text combined, and braille; on tablets, smartphones, computers, MP3 players, and assistive technology devices. Experience a variety of tools that allow people with print disabilities to become better and more independent readers. Equipped with stronger literacy skills, these individuals can actively pursue the educational and career advancement opportunities that await them.
