Throughout this course, multiple case studies will be used to illustrate applications of principles and theories in assistive technology provision. The course starts with disability classifications and terminology to clarify how assistive technology service provision fits into the larger scope of medicine and rebab. The instruction covers access and integration, augmentative communication, vision and hearing sensory impairments, positioning, mobility, and aids to daily living.
