  • Directory of AT Device Reuse Centers
NATTAP and the National Pass It On Center are cataloging programs that help consumers and families "reuse" assistive technology devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, computers, or other equipment for daily living. Find one near you. If you run such a program, please add your information to our directory.

  • A National Conference on the Reuse of Assistive Technology (May 8-10, 2006)
The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services sponsored a national conference on May 8-10, 2006 at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta. This conference brought together over 175 people who were interested in refurbishing, recycling and exchange of used assistive technology devices.

Through presentations from state-of-the-art reuse programs and small group discussions with peers, conference participants were able to:
    1. hear from some of America’s most successful AT reuse programs about how to build, sustain, and improve local device reuse programs,
    2. find out how states can network local AT reuse programs and create partnerships to get more AT into the hands of consumers, and
    3. be a part of building a national community of device reuse programs.

For more information about this conference including agenda, handouts and a participants’ list, go to www.resna.org/atreuse/.
