An abundance of research has been conducted on assistive technology (AT) interventions in the past two decades. AT providers are expected to find and appraise the evidence from this research while they select and seek funding for the AT devices. We will present findings from a comprehensive scoping review project outlining the quality, nature, and breadth of AT research conducted in the past two decades. Findings will be outlined in the areas of mobility, seating and control interfaces for computers and AAC, and will include trends on the types of research, types of AT tested, sample characteristics, methodologies employed, and nature of outcomes.
