Participants will explore the evolving process of introducing assistive technologies for neurological populations within a hospital setting. Discussion of how to incorporate an assistive technology program into inpatient rehabilitation will be completed by exploring the speakers’ experience with program development, reviewing case studies of individuals through the continuum of care including return to work, describing how various disciplines support the process of technology embrace, and through education of assistive technologies pursued. Affordable and commercially available options will be highlighted to promote independence with phone and tablet access, computer access, and electronic aids to daily living.
