This interactive workshop will highlight select RERC TechSAge projects focused on developing supportive technologies for people aging with mobility disabilities. Remillard will highlight archival analyses from the ACCESS study (N=60) exploring everyday activity challenges and support needs of older adults with long-term mobility disabilities. Kadylak will discuss advances in developing a suite of Amazon Echo skills and instructional materials to support this population. The workshop will describe development efforts to support falls prevention and management for wheeled device users; projects include the development of a custom falls detection/alert system (Rice) and a mobile health application to assess fall risk (Sosnoff).
