Feeding is a basic activity for maintaining human life and important activity of daily living that affects health management and life satisfaction. However, People with disabilities and elderly, they are limited to eat normally due to neurological lesions and aging.
Robots are a means to support muscle weakness and limitation of motion caused by neurological lesions and aging. And they can improve performance during feeding activity.
In this session we would like to introduce various self-feeding robot for people with disabilities and elderly, and their trends.
