Abstract:
The appropriateness of a wheelchair for its current user is critical and enables funding for appropriate wheelchair provision. A validated tools set will be introduced and applied. The appropriateness of a wheelchair includes several aspects of function. The quality of the interface between a user and their chair, the maintenance condition of the chair, and the ease of rolling are measured by these tools. Once a wheelchair professional is familiar with each tool, data can be collected in less than fifteen minutes. Open access to these tools and journal articles documenting the validation of each tool will be provided.
