Current Futures for Digital and Assistive Technologies:
This presentation anticipates challenges and opportunities for digital and assistive technologies. Recent times have created a step change in digital literacy, a population-wide experience of impaired functioning and an expectation for greater technological democracy. The implications of these vectors, for individual service users and providers, for organisations, governments and international agencies, are considered. To anticipate futures we must expect change in the sort of practice and research we do.
