M-Enabling Summit 2016

A New Dawn for Medicare Coverage of SGDs

U.S. Society for AAC is hosting a free webinar on what to expect with regards to Medicare and Speech-Generating Devices (SGD) in light of new guidelines from CMS and the Steve Gleason Act becoming law. “A New Dawn for Medicare SGD Coverage” will explain the types and features of SGDs that Medicare will now cover and pay for; the additional capabilities and features that SGDs can offer; and how Medicare beneficiaries will be able to access those additional capabilities and features. The webinar is August 19 at 7pm EDT.

AAATE BiAnnual Conference

The Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe (AAATE) organizes a biannual conference and publishes the journal “Technology and Disability” (IOS Press). Although the core membership is in academia, service providers and industry is among the membership, making AAATE an excellent European platform for knowledge exchange and development of the sector. This includes a reorientation on wider areas than traditional AT, such as e-accessibility, design for all, ambient assisted living, and telecare. Over 20 countries are members. 

2015 National CRT Conference
