RESNA is a standards developing organization accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
As AT specialists we often conduct assessments/screenings for individuals, considering tools and strategies to support their specific needs. However, how often are we asked to take a broader perspective and examine the whole environment, to consider the needs of multiple people? Could setting up the environment to support multiple people minimize the need to support as many individually? Based on our online AT program at GMU, we will discuss benefits of working through a team approach, emphasizing how to collaboratively leverage skills to mutually benefit from other’s knowledge and perspectives. Thereby, optimizing the support provided to those who need AT.
