Abstract: 

Therapy interventions that incorporate Virtual Reality(VR) are gaining in popularity and have shown efficacy in addressing a variety of treatment goals. This session introduces participants to the Jam Studio VR application and corresponding Therapy Guide and describes how they can be used to engage individuals of diverse ages and health conditions in VR music making activities.  Focusing on common treatment goals, specific therapy protocols will be presented along with guidelines for measuring outcomes and documenting progress using standardized session forms. An overview of research activities will be provided to guide evidence-based practices.
