RESNA is a standards developing organization accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Seating and mobility technologies are typically available through a well-defined service delivery model. However, we often have the opportunity to utilize technology, both assistive technology and consumer electronics, in non-traditional ways (e.g. seating for adaptive sports, smart home technology). This presents a challenge given the traditional seating and mobility service delivery model. Therefore, we will describe a model for integrating technologies into a traditional seating and mobility service delivery process, and describe case examples based on the wheelchair clinic at the AT Center.
