This workshop will describe strategies for integrating an education research program as part of an assistive technology curriculum. Demonstrating the effectiveness of educational programs is critical in today’s educational arena. Academic medical centers are focused on a three-part mission of research, education, and service, which provides educators with an opportunity to leverage both research and educational activities. We will provide an overview of the principles of education research, and describe strategies for implementing education research in courses and programs. We will provide case studies for the potential implementation of education research through activities at The Ohio State University.
