Consumers of technology with a disability face many challenges in the process of discovering what will work for them. Once a device is decided upon, the training from skilled professionals can be limited. To address these problems the University of Utah Rehab created the “Brain Gym.” A wellness model based assistive technology center, which is integrated into the physical wellness program already in place and provides access to the most up-to-date assistive technology available. This workshop provides participants with information and insight to begin the process of developing a wellness based assistive technology program in their own area of practice.
