Session Description
Session Type:

Despite the promise of new advanced technologies to meet the needs of older adults with disabilities, successes have been limited. The challenge is to engage multidisciplinary teams using interdisciplinary approaches to conduct applied research and develop effective solutions that promote positive outcomes. This plenary symposium will introduce two nationally-supported efforts, RERC TechSAge (US) and AGE-WELL NCE (Canada), that are designed to meet that challenge. Focusing on similarities and differences in missions, target populations, conceptual frameworks, structure, and activities, presenters will lay the groundwork for discussion to identify cross-cutting themes and collaborative opportunities between the projects as well as session attendees.
