Ethical guidelines, in general, represent the embodiment of a profession’s shared values and professional principles used to regulate members’ interactions with colleagues and clients. Ethical guidelines or codes are also used to protect clients from poor quality services and to enhance society’s acceptance of the profession. The purpose of this study is to explore the role of ethics in the provision of Assistive Technology (AT) services through analysis of a survey of AT service providers. Preliminary survey results will be reported and discussed. Learning objectives include identification and categorization of ethical principles and dilemmas.
