SIG and PSG News

Access and Communication Technology SIG 
Terry Heiman-Patterson released a brief (3-5 minute) survey regarding assistive technologies and AAC devices. The survey is directed at experience and observations on how these technologies are used and paid for.
 
Accommodations SIG
A Show and Tell session is being scheduled at the Annual Conference in Toronto on Wednesday afternoon 4:00 to 5:30 PM. Each person will be given seven minutes to share. Please email Therese Willkomm by June 10, if you would like to participate in the session.

K - 12 Practice SIG
Sue Zapf, PhD is hosting a pre-conference session titled, "Individualized Assessment and Education Considerations for Students with Disabilities" on Monday, June 24, from 1:45 - 5:30 pm. Dr. Zapf's work is closely connected with Marcia Scherer's Matching Person to Technology approach and is one of the few research-based AT assessment processes available.

The SIG will hold a meeting at the webinar and broadcast the session (if possible) via Zoom. Contact sig_chair_k12practice@RESNAMEMBER.ORG for more information.

Speech-Language Pathologists/Audiologists PSG
Five presentations from the AAC State of the Science Conference have been published in a special issue of the AAC Journal. These incorporate information from discussions at the conference. The five articles have been available as free downloads since April:
