Alternative Text Description of Figure 1: Tactile Mouse
The figure shows a tactile mouse (a), with a tactile display consisting of a matrix of tactile pins. The corresponding coordinate position of the optical sensor on the computer screen can be given by (X,Y). A representative pin coordinate position (XSubscript2 ,Ysubscript2 ) is given by the angle deltaδ from the vertical midline through the optical sensor and at a radial distance R from the optical sensor.  When the tactile mouse is rotated by an angle thetaθ as shown in (b), the pin position changes to (X3 ,Y3 ). Since there is no change in the position of the optical sensor, the screen position displayed remains as (XSubscript2 ,Ysubscript2 ). This inaccuracy is addressed in this paper.
