RESNA Annual Conference - 2025

2025 RESNA Conference: RESNA@RehabWeek

What a thrill to spend a week in Chicago with colleagues from across the rehabilitation field at RehabWeek 2025! Almost 2,000 rehabilitation professionals from six different societies, including RESNA, spent the week of May 12-16 enjoying a full schedule of pre-conference courses, six keynote speakers, expert panel sessions, clinic and lab tours, and a gigantic exhibit hall of rehabilitation and assistive technology.

RESNA's own “conference within a conference” included, as usual, leading-edge content on all aspects of assistive technology - in all, over 22 hours of sessions offering IACET CEUs. We also proudly presented our own scientific paper platforms and posters, as well as the Student Design Challenge, the Student Scientific Paper Competition, and the Developers Showcase.

For me, a personal highlight was the 2025 Colin McLaurin Distinguished Lecture, presented by Jean L. Minkel, PT, ATP, titled “Mobility Equity: Uncovering Systemic Inequalities Towards Persons with Mobility Disabilities.” Her insights challenged and energized our members and our collective work toward inclusive mobility solutions.

Finally, RESNA members had a chance to unwind and connect at the RESNA Member Social Event, held at a local Chicago establishment. We enjoyed great food and drink, a wonderful waterfront view, and the opportunity to do a little bowling.

From groundbreaking research to exciting networking events, it was a thrill to bring together some of the brightest minds in AT. Enjoy the proceedings, and I hope to see you in 2026!

Thank you,
