ABSTRACT

The impact of a wheelchair on its user goes beyond physical function to overall health and social integration. The gain in function must be weighed in light of any risk associated with its use, including the development of pressure sores, the presence of pain, and the maintenance record. The current study investigates the impact of the Free Wheelchair Mission chair on recipients in India and Peru through use of a survey.  A summary evaluation has shown a positive benefit to health and function without an increase in health risk or an unreasonable amount of repair.

KEY WORDS:

Gargoyles

Disney produced a television show in the mid 1990s called Gargoyles. It's a great show and I'm a big fan. A few years ago Disney started to release the show on DVD. The last release was of season 2, volume 1. That was two years ago. Volume 2 has not been released. Why? Poor sales. So if you should find yourself wanting to support my work, instead I ask you pick up a copy of season 2, volume 1. It's a great show and you might find yourself enjoying it.
