ATP certification can be reinstated through one of two ways:
- Taking the examination again and paying all applicable fees ($500)
- Filing a reinstatement application, paying a reinstatement fee of $250, and completing additional education requirements
When filing a reinstatement application, you must also complete an additional 0.25 CEU for every 3-month period following the expiration date. So, for example, if the ATP certification expired on January 1, and you wish to reinstate in May (5 months), you must earn an additional 0.50 CEUs as well as the 20 hours of continuing education (of which there is at least 1 CEU) required for regular renewal.
