NSM Symposium in Dallas, TX, February 20-22
RESNA's Standards and Operations Manager Kennedy Smith met with NSM's many ATPs and answered questions about certification at the NSM Symposium and went ribbon crazy! Thank you to members Elizabeth "Beth" Christensen, MA/CCC-SLP/L, ATP and Sayard Bass, SLP/L, ATP, who presented their course "What Every ATP Should Know About AAC" on behalf of RESNA. Kennedy, Beth and Sayard had a great time dressing up for the annual NSM party with the theme "Vintage Vegas." RESNA member Denise Harmon stopped by the booth to say hello to Kennedy and Beth.
ATIA Conference in Orlando, FL, January 29-31
RESNA sponsored the ATAP reception at ATIA, where Jim Lenker jumped up on a chair to welcome everyone. The highlight was the RESNA Maker SIG session. RESNA members Christina Maragiolio-Esposito, ATP, RET and Jessica Smith led a rousing discussion on the AT Maker SIG guidelines, to be published soon.
