Eligibility is determined by a combination of education and work experience. Masters, bachelors, associates, and high school degrees are all eligible but have different work experience requirements. You must have at least two years of experience in AT direct consumer-related service. These include but are not limited to:
- Assessment and evaluation
- Fitting, adjustment, and readjustment
- Implementation and training for the client (training in use of AT or strategy)
The following services are not included:
- Didactic teaching of students involved in AT service delivery without consumer contact
- Telecommunication relay services
- Information gathering and sharing via telephone or Internet only
