The University of Pittsburgh's School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences has received RESNA's accreditation.
The University of Pittsburgh's Program is focused on gaining a technological understanding of scientific principles and a balanced exposure to clinical rehabilitation. Students in the program conduct rehabilitation technology and engineering assessment, design assistive devices, participate in clinics and rounds, and work with consumer groups. The program is designed to prepare graduates to assume professional responsibilities in the field of assistive technology – as rehabilitation technology suppliers, service providers and consultants, for example -- and to assist students in preparing for the RESNA Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) and Seating and Mobility Specialist (SMS) credentials.
