Interested in getting more involved with RESNA?
All RESNA members are invited to consider this great opportunity for professional growth and service. We are seeking nominations for:
- President-Elect (2-year term as President-Elect, 2-year term as President, 2-year term as Immediate Past President)
- Secretary (2-year term)
- Three (3) members of the Board of Directors, each eligible for a 3-year term
Requirements: Must be a RESNA member in good standing for a period of three years immediately preceding their nomination.
While it is not required, board candidates usually have a history of participation in and contribution to RESNA through committee and other organizational activities (e.g., SIGs/CoPs, Committees, Conference, Position Papers, ATP item writing, etc.). However, candidates without extensive organizational experience can make important contributions as board members due to their background, skills, contributions to the field or to other organizations.

Board members have the opportunity to chart the course of RESNA for future generations, make decisions about priorities, and be involved in exciting strategic initiatives. The RESNA board meets 6 times a year. In addition, board members are asked to serve on at least one board committee: Finance, Governance, Research, Education, MMC (Membership, Marketing, and Communications), SIGs/CoPs leadership, or Conference/Events. Meeting schedules for board committees vary depending on activities.
