Board Nominations

RESNA 2023 Call for Nominations is Open

All RESNA members are invited to consider a great opportunity for professional growth and service. We are seeking nominations for three (3) members of the Board of Directors. The deadline for submitting nominations is March 10, 2023.

Board Members  (3 Open Positions)

  • 3 Year Term: 08/01/2023 to 07/31/2026

Requirements: The primary requirement for serving as a member or officer of the Board of Directors is that the candidate must be a RESNA member in good standing for a period of three years immediately preceding their nomination.

While it is preferred that a Board candidate have a history of participation in and contribution to RESNA organizational activities (e.g., SIGs, PSGs, Committees, Boards, and task forces), including having served in some leadership capacities, it is not required. There may be instances where candidates without extensive organizational experience are in a position to make an important contribution as a Board Member due to their particular background, skills, or contributions to the field or to other organizations.

If you seek to develop your professional skills further, this may be just the opportunity for which you have been looking. Serving as a RESNA Board member will help you develop leadership skills, learn more about organizational work, benefit RESNA’s members, and serve other professionals in the assistive technology and rehabilitation engineering field. This includes the individuals RESNA serves. Please consider nominating yourself, or a colleague who you feel would serve our organization well.

The Governance Committee will review nominations and develop a proposed slate of candidates. They will forward this to the Board of Directors for consideration in its Spring meeting. After approval by the Board of Directors, we will announce the slate and make the online election system available to the membership.

Submit your completed nominations by the March 10, 2023 deadline.

Please note, submitting a nomination does not guarantee approval of that candidate by the Governance Committee or the Board of Directors. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact info@resna.org

Thank you for your participation in this important process.
