Headshot of RESNA President Carmen DiGiovine.

Hi everyone,

Can you believe we’re already two months into the year 2024? Time flies when you’re having fun, and what is more fun than innovating new ways to use technology to help those with disabilities lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

RESNA is off to a hot start this year as well! You may have seen our booth at ATIA earlier this year, that was our first official stop for our RESNA on the Road tour. Rather than hosting a conference in 2024, we’re taking the show on the road to share the news about RESNA all over the country. Check out our website to see the official schedule, and please stop by the booth if you’re going to any of the conferences on the list!

I’m so excited about everything RESNA has planned for this year. We are offering live webinars on the third Wednesday of the month at 12pm ET throughout the year. These webinars will be recorded and released on RESNA Learn, for on-demand learning. RESNA is now officially “open” 24/7, with a constant stream of new educational opportunities for our members. Stay tuned for announcements about virtual events for students, researchers, and product-developers, including virtual technology demonstrations, and our live, in-person Colin McLaurin Distinguished Memorial Lecture in October at the University at Buffalo.

We’re making RESNA your resource for all things AT, all the time.

Before I sign off, I want to request one thing from you. Consider volunteering. Our association is only as strong as its members and its volunteer leadership, so I strongly encourage you to think about getting involved. If you are already a volunteer, then consider mentoring the next generation of volunteer leaders. Volunteer opportunities are posted on the website, and there’s currently a call for Board nominations. Serving on the Board is a great opportunity to help shape the future of RESNA.

Thank you,

Carmen DiGiovine
RESNA President
