We are at an exciting time in Assistive Technology history, in which we can provide access to mobility technology for clients who have little to no voluntary movement. This course will focus on evaluation for and provision of alternative powered wheelchair controls for individuals with neuromuscular disease. Access to powered wheelchair and powered seating functions will be illustrated through the use of detailed case studies. The course will include eye gaze technologies and access methods for individuals with limited head control.
