Non-profit Raising the Floor and the Trace Center have created a free, open-source tool that makes computers and assistive technologies easier to use. Called Morphic the tool does three things 1) it makes it easier for people to discover and quickly use the built in accessibility features already in computers. 2) It makes accessibility features look like normal functions that are just there (rather than special features buried in control panels) increasing their use by people who are shy with technology or those who don't consider themselves to have disabilities. 3) It allows you to create custom MorphicBars that allow ultra-simple one-touch access to features, sites, programs, even zoom calls where pressing one (always present) button drops you directly into the call - making computer use possible by people who cannot use computers or understand programs or windows etc. Presentation will include hands on use of tool and free lifetime subscriptions to the tool. (Bring a laptop).
